  • General meetings:
  • 14 The Association shall in each calendar year hold a general meeting as its annual general meeting in addition to any other meetings in that year and shall specify the meeting as such in the notices calling it; and not more than 15 months shall elapse between the date of one annual general meeting of the Association and that of the next. The annual general meeting in each year shall be held at such time and place as the Committee shall appoint.
  • 15 The Committee may call general meetings on at least 21 days notice and, on the requisition of 10% of current Members, shall forthwith proceed to convene an extraordinary general meeting for a date not later than 21 days after receipt of the requisition.
  • 16 Notice of general meetings shall be given to all Members and shall specify the time and place of the meeting and the general nature of the business to be transacted and, in the case of an annual general meeting, shall specify the meeting as such.
  • 17 The annual general meeting of the Association shall:
    1. receive and, if approved, adopt a statement of the Association’s accounts to the end of the preceding year;
    2. consider and, if approved, sanction any duly made alterations of the Rules;
    3. appoint the officers and other Members of the Committee;
    4. remove any Member or Members of the Committee from office and fill any vacancy or vacancies caused by the removal or;
    5. deal with any special matter which the Committee desires to bring before the Members and receive suggestions from the Members for consideration by the Committee.
    6. deal with any special matter which the Members requiring the meeting wish to place before the Committee.
  • 18 The accidental omission to give notice of a meeting to, or the non-receipt of notice of a meeting by, any person entitled to receive notice shall not invalidate the proceedings at that meeting.
