| NAWIC signs affiliation with US group |

NAWIC committee member Emma Sturges will be travelling to Salt Lake City in September to sign our affiliation agreement with NAWIC United States as part of their 48th Annual Convention. In affiliating with our sister group in the United States, NAWIC will become part of a global network of women in construction, with other associated groups in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Emma will be attending many of the seminars, workshops and meetings which form part of the Convention to gain first-hand experience of how NAWIC contributes to the construction debate in the US, how the various 'chapters' and regional groups work, and examine how some of these ideas might be used in our own association.
