GEORGINA SQUIRE, one of our members, is standing for the Civil Litigation Constituency seat on the Law Society Council in March. Ballot papers will be circulated to all Law Society members around 15 March. Georgina is a construction lawyer and was a founder committee member of TeCSA. She sits on both the TCC and Chancery Division Users Committees as a solicitor rep, is a member of the Society of Construction Law and chairs the Law Society Civil Litigation Committee. She has asked us to circulate this information to all members in the hope that some of you may be motivated to exercise your vote in her favour. She believes that if elected, she will be the only construction specialist on the Council and will thereby be able to represent our industry. She will also give NAWIC a wider profile within the legal world. |
