National Association of Women in Construction

Careers Advisor seeks your help

Gwendolyn Knowles is a trainee Careers Adviser doing a project on the problems facing women entering the construction industry, and how careers advisers can help.

It will be a presentation given to careers advisers working in London, and hopefully improve the advise being given to young women about the construction industry.

If you would consider answering a few questions, it would be of great help.

  1. What schemes does NAWIC have in place to help women in the industry?
  2. Have you seen any improvements?
  3. Do you have any advice how we, as careers advisers, can help improve the situation for women entering the industry? Or advise we should give to young women interested in construction as a career?
