National Association of Women in Construction

Haringey Council's Equalities and Diversity Unit is planning an event for the borough's International Women's Day event 2006, which will be held in the College of North East London (CONEL) on Saturday 11th March 2006. As part of the event we are looking to organise workshops on career opportunities for women working in traditionally gender segregated professions and trades such as engineering, construction, science and IT.

We would like to invite NAWIC members to assist with the facilitation of one of a series of workshops. Luckily, on the day we have access to the staff and resources at the college for these areas of work, so we thought it would be a great opportunity to bring in external expertise and organise stimulating workshops for the attendees, many of whom would not normally be aware of such choices.
