Hover over 'Regions' in the menu above to see which regions are currently 'active' (represented by a regional committee). If your region is not listed, there is currently not an active NAWIC committee operating in your area. A list of 'active' and 'inactive' regions can also be found on the Membership page.

You may still wish to register for membership if, for example, you travel to different regions on a regular basis. Should you choose to do so, please select your local region in the Membership page registration process so that we can better understand the general location of our membership base.

Are you interested in volunteering for NAWIC and helping set up a committee in your region? We would love to hear from you. Use the Contact form to contact the National team, stating "Setting up a regional committee" in the subject line. Send a brief message telling us why you would like to volunteer and include any ideas you have.

Yes. Many NAWIC events are open to non-members and some are free of charge. However, becoming a member holds many benefits, including reduced ticket prices, priority booking on popular events, access to member-only events, and much more. Visit the Membership Benefits page to find out more.

No. NAWIC is women-focussed, but not only for women. Most of our events are open to all and we value the contributions of all those who work towards a more equitable construction industry of the future.

If you can dedicate some time on a regular basis and would like to volunteer for NAWIC, we would love to hear from you. Committee roles can include Chair, Deputy Chair, Treasurer, Website Coordinator, Events Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator, Newsletter Coordinator, Memebrships Coordinator, Graphics Coordinator, and more.

To enquire about Regional or National Committee role openings, use the Contact form to contact your local (or the National) team, stating "Volunteering with NAWIC" in the subject line. Send a brief message telling us which role(s) you are interested in and why. This could be related to your current skills (e.g. a Quantity Surveyor may be interested in a Treasurer position) or it could be something completely new you would like to build experience in.

If your local region does not already have an active commmittee and you are interested setting one up, we would also love to hear from you. Use the Contact form to contact the National team, stating "Setting up a regional committee" in the subject line. Send a brief message telling us why you would like to volunteer and include any ideas you have.

If you would like to help but don't have time to volunteer on a Regional or the National Committee, please tell your colleagues and contacts about NAWIC, share the link to our newsletter subscription page and help spread the word about our upcoming events.

You could 'nominate' a trainee or someone in your team to attend an event, and encourage male colleagues and senior leaders to come along. After all, equality is everyone's business.

Please also share and comment on our national and regional social media content which you find particularly interesting. Let's start a conversation!

NAWIC has supported many people into and through careers in construction. Primarily we recommend attending a NAWIC event to meet fellow attendees and speak to your local committee who may be able to put you in contact with relevant people. Don't worry if your region is not represented by a local committee - free and open-to-all national online events are also run throughout the year. You may also find our social media channels helpful (see top right).
