This event is part of Our Futures — a week-long series of events hosted by NAWIC Jersey from 15–19 September. Throughout the week, we’ll be diving into a range of sustainability-focused themes, from how our waste is processed and understanding carbon literacy, to imagining the future of Jersey’s harbour, reconnecting with nature through design, and prioritising personal wellbeing.
We don’t landfill waste in Jersey, instead our energy recovery facility helps us to power the Island.
What to Expect:
• Behind-the-scenes access to a key piece of Jersey’s infrastructure
• Live insight into the energy-from-waste process — from waste reception to steam turbines
• Learn how byproducts are safely managed and reused
