Collaborative Negotiation: The importance of creating “we” in partnerships

Working in partnership with the people important to our business – our stakeholders – is a simple proposition to say, is critical to the world of construction, and yet is a delicate and nuanced situation we all need to navigate.

Collaborative negotiation can help and is the focus of this engaging seminar delivered by our speaker, Dr Isabella Allan, thought leader, speaker and facilitator and a past member of the NAWIC NSW Board/Committee in  Australia.

She is delighted to join us in London, and in this session we will:

  • Understand why women excel at collaborative negotiation
  • Reflect on the key principles of successful negotiation as the “we” in partnerships is built together, and
  • Learn about a number of proven tactics that help some of our more protracted environmental / master planning / building projects.

Our session will begin at 8am with networking over a light breakfast, followed by Isabella’s half hour presentation.  We will then have an opportunity for Q and A followed by more networking.

Date:  Thursday 27 October, 2022

Time: 8am til 9.30am

More about Isabella:

Isabella spent over 30 years working with clients and as a senior leader on award winning ESG green fields projects for purpose driven global organisations.  While working as an executive she realised that the ability to pivot and flex around problems created by disruption and uncertainty, along with harnessing the optimism and energy it takes to influence others, helps a leader align people behind projects that deliver results.

An expert in behavioural change she was originally an urban/regional planner, with a PhD from the USA in Organisational Development and Change.

She has worked with boards, CEO’s, senior leaders and frontline leaders from a broad spectrum of industries including, banking and finance, health, architecture, planning, property and construction, aviation, transport, agriculture and the professional services firms, including law.

A sought-after keynote speaker, educator and best-selling author, she has worked with clients the Australasian and Pacific Region, India, Europe and USA.   She will be joining us after having presented a keynote presentation to a Global Women’s Super Summit, in Paris.
